De mon expérience de vie au Japon, je me suis imprégnée de la sensibilité Japonaise aux matériaux vivants. Inspirée par la technique traditionnelle de Shibori, j’ai débuté les oeuvres papier lorsque je vivais encore en Asie. Je sélectionne des papiers d’Asie pour leur texture et leur touché. J’interviens sur la matière : je froisse, plie, tord, défroisse, replie, ligote… j’explore cette matière fragile du papier. Je peins avec des encres : encre de chine, noire, bleue, sépia, que je mélange avec des poudres naturelles… La couleur se dilue est prend vie. La matière froissée sublime l’accident naturel d’un hasard maîtrisé. Les couleurs englobent la richesse de leurs variations. Je recherche l’écriture d’une poésie minérale.

From my experience of living in Japan, I was captivated by the Japanese sensitivity to living materials. Inspired by the traditional technique of Shibori, I started some artwork on paper when I was still living in Asia. I select Asian papers for their texture and touch. I work with the material: I crumple, fold, twist, un-fold, bind… I explore the fragile material of paper. I paint with inks: Indian ink, black, blue, sepia, which I mix with natural powders… The colour is diluted and comes to life. The crumpled material sublimates the natural accident of a controlled chance. The colours encompass the richness of their variations. I am looking for the writing of a mineral poetry.
