Laur's scenographic installation is open to the general public and takes place for one month in the outdoor Ebisu Garden Place over the Christmas period. The exhibition is expected to attract more than 150,000 visitors over the course of a month.
The installation is a 10-metre by 10-metre cube, in which several strands of LED lights are hung in successive layers. The space becomes a dense forest of lights, the forest of lovers, where the points of light are reflected ad infinitum.
Laur collaborates with Virginie Lavey for the black and white photos of the lovers and Aoki Takamasa for the original composition of a sound installation.
